Cutting fuel hose before you've planned the routes is how you end up under the truck twice.

This is the AirDog II-5G 100-GPH system for the 1989–93 Dodge 12V Cummins. Lay out the suction, engine feed and AirDog return before you cut the supplied hose. The return tee goes in the filler neck, and the original engine return stays connected.

Fitment

  • Manufacturer application: 1989-1993 Dodge Ram with the 12-valve 5.9L Cummins VE injection system and stock fuel setup.

  • Exact D250/D350/W250/W350 model coverage has not been independently established. Listed by engine/fuel-system configuration; no vehicle-finder model claims are made.

Specifications

  • Part A7SPBD338; AirDog II-5G DF-100-5G, rated 100 gallons per hour for stock-fuel trucks.

  • The exact VE-Cummins manual states a 13-psi factory regulator preset. Check operating pressure with a fuel-pressure gauge; an incorrect pressure setting can damage the injection system.

  • Water separator and 2-micron fuel filter are part of the system.

Included

  • AirDog unit, cradle bracket, front/back frame sandwich plates and spacer, mounting hardware, relay/fused wiring harness, filler-neck return tee with two clamps, 20 feet of hose, the listed quick-connect/JIC injection-pump fittings, ties and spare O-ring kit.

Before ordering and installation

  • Clamp the supplied brackets to the frame as instructed; do not drill or weld the main frame rails. Confirm cab clearance and protect the pump wiring, hoses and filters from heat, abrasion and moving parts.

  • Use the factory fuel-module suction fitting. Remove any retained factory blue connector clip before attaching the new quick connect.

  • Route filtered supply directly to the injection pump, bypassing the factory filter canister and block-mounted mechanical pump. Keep the original engine return connected.

  • The mechanical pump must be disabled or removed using the manual's procedure. An engine block-off plate is not included if the pump is removed.

  • Install the filler-neck return tee with its arrows toward the tank. Cut push-lock hoses to the actual routed length; do not add hose clamps to the push-lock connections.

  • Prime and bleed using the exact manual, then inspect all fuel/electrical connections. Fill the water separator for initial start; do not pre-fill the fuel filter. A pressure gauge and optional AD-BOOSTCOMP boost-compensation kit are separate.
