Confirm the rear suspension conversion before buying the bar. QA1 52863 is a 1-1/4-inch hollow 4130 chromoly rear sway bar for the listed two-wheel-drive Ford trucks using the corresponding QA1 rear Coil-Over Conversion System.
Fitment
1973-1979 Ford F-100 and 1975-1979 Ford F-150, 2WD only, as listed in QA1's exact 52863 fitment table.
Works exclusively with the matching QA1 rear suspension system. OEM leaf-spring suspension is excluded; a stock truck needs the specified conversion before this bar has the intended mounts.

Before ordering and installation
The current guide requires removing the factory axle shock mounts. Confirm the QA1 frame-notch and Watts-link mounting arrangements, then check whether the axle brake-line junction needs spacing for the driver-side U-bolt.
Use the current manufacturer guide linked below. It places both end links in front of their frame brackets; the older supplier-linked guide has different instructions.
The supplier says the bushings are not pre-greased. Apply marine grease to the inner bushing surfaces and anti-seize to the rod-end threads as directed in the current guide.
Set the end links at ride height so the sway bar sits parallel with the ground, then follow the current diagram and hardware specifications. The level bar is the goal; persuading it with an unloaded axle is not the same adjustment.
QA1's current guide states installed products are not eligible for return and describes a one-year limited material/workmanship warranty to the original purchaser, subject to its terms.
