Check the lower arms before choosing the bar. QA1 52867 is a front sway-bar kit for 1988–1998 OBS C1500 trucks with QA1 lower control arms; it will not work with factory lower arms. Its hollow 1-3/8-inch 4130 chromoly bar has a 3/16-inch wall, a black powder coat, polyurethane bushings and plated mounting hardware. End links are included.
The proposed fitment is limited to source-backed 2WD C1500 configurations without torsion-bar front suspension. For 1988–1992 trucks, keep the right-hand bolt-on OE frame bracket: the current 9919-251 guide requires it to be reused. That little bracket is easier to save than to find after the scrap bin leaves.
Center the bar in the original frame mounts, assemble the right- and left-hand threaded links in their correct sleeves, and attach the links outboard of the bar as shown in the exact guide. The supplier lists the assembly as greaseable and not pre-greased. Confirm lubrication requirements with QA1 and follow its current instructions. Check steering and suspension clearance and use the guide’s hardware and torque values.
