The factory rear shock location is the first thing to check. QA1 52897 uses that area for its sway-bar end links, so the current maker page requires a QA1 rear coil-over conversion and excludes OEM rear suspension and shocks in the factory position. This rear kit uses a hollow 1-1/4-inch 4130 chromoly bar with mounting hardware and polyurethane bushings for the source-backed 1963–1972 C10 application.

The exact guide removes the factory shock-mount rivets, reuses a bracket hole and drills one 3/8-inch hole per frame bracket. Choose the supplied mounting tabs for the amount of rear drop, then level the sway-bar arms with the truck at ride height. Set the links on the settled truck; a dangling axle is a poor measuring jig.

Measure the axle housing before ordering. The guide says the saddles were not intended for the wider center sections of fabricated nine-inch axles; adapting those housings can require modifying and welding the saddles. This listing does not promise an unmodified fit there. Follow the guide’s spacing, torque and clearance checks.

QA1’s linked guide excludes installed products from returns and provides a one-year warranty against material and workmanship defects to the original purchaser, subject to its stated conditions; repair or replacement is at QA1’s option.
