What lower arms are on your '58–'64 Chevy?
Ridetech 11050910 replaces the front coils and shocks on the listed full-size Chevrolets, but it's designed around Ridetech lower StrongArms 11051499. Those arms are sold separately. It doesn't mount to the original lower arms.
What is in the box
Two 8-inch-diameter air springs with upper cup brackets.
Two HQ Series 4.75-inch Stud Top shocks, left/right upper shock brackets, lower shock bolt kits, bushings, sleeves and the listed mounting hardware.
Lower StrongArms 11051499, air fittings, airline, compressor and air-control equipment are not included in this kit. Plan those items as a complete air system.
Match it to the car
Ridetech lists Bel Air, Biscayne and Impala for 1958-64; Brookwood, Nomad, Kingswood and Parkwood have narrower year ranges, as do Del Ray and El Camino. Use the exact year/model rows and the required lower arms together. This front kit does not establish rear-suspension coverage or a complete-car air system.
Before the wrench comes out
Remove the OE coil springs and shocks using the factory service procedure. Position each upper cup with its tall side toward the wheel, pass its 7/16 x 8-inch stud through the OE shock opening, and route the airline while the spring assembly is accessible. Apply suitable thread sealant to the air fitting; confirm its actual thread before buying fittings.
The shock brackets bolt to the frame after 5/16-inch holes are drilled for the supplied thread-forming bolts. Inner-fender trimming may be needed. On manual-shift cars, the bottom of the driver-side Z-bar clutch bracket may also need trimming. Bolt-on still gives the drill something to do.
The spring pocket usually needs no trimming, but check the air spring through full suspension travel. It must never rub the frame, pocket or nearby parts; the manual excludes rubbing failures from warranty.
The manual’s roughly 5-inch spring ride height is the air spring’s height, not a promised vehicle lift or drop. Set the car’s operating height after checking travel, clearance and the complete air system.
Tighten the upper shock stem bushings to the manual’s 35 inch-pounds, not foot-pounds, without squeezing them beyond the support washer. Follow every other fastener’s specified torque in the linked instructions.
For HQ rebound setup, start at full stiff, then back off 12 clicks for the manual’s street baseline or 8 for its handling baseline. Road-test and adjust each end as directed. Have a qualified suspension installer handle the spring removal, drilling and final checks.
