Building the front of a first-gen F-body or X-body around coilovers or air?
These StrongArms are built for Ridetech's coil-over or ShockWave setup, with a double-shear lower shock mount and Delrin pivots. The factory spring doesn't go back in, so pick your shocks and sway bar first.
Fitment
1967-1969 Camaro/Firebird and the manufacturer-listed 1968-1974 GM X-body applications below, using Ridetech CoilOvers or ShockWaves and a Ridetech MuscleBar.
Manufacturer-listed models: 1973-1974 Buick Apollo; 1967-1969 Chevrolet Camaro; 1968 Chevrolet Chevy Ii; 1969-1974 Chevrolet Nova; 1973-1974 Oldsmobile Omega; 1968-1971 Pontiac Acadian; 1967-1969 Pontiac Firebird; 1971-1974 Pontiac Ventura.
Specifications
Part 11162899; satin-black powder-coated tubular front lower arms; self-lubricating Delrin bushings.
Included
Driver and passenger lower arms, ball joints, bushings/sleeves, bump stops, shock-bearing spacers, steering-stop bolts and mounting hardware.
Before ordering and installation
Factory shocks, springs and sway bar are incompatible. CoilOvers/ShockWaves and MuscleBar are separate.
The factory upper shock-mounting hole must be opened to 3/4 inch. Check that the frame brackets have not been pinched before fitting the bushings.
Use the rear steering-stop location with OE steering arms or the front location with TruTurn. Check full steering/suspension travel and have the finished front end aligned.
