Check the rear suspension kit number before selecting the shocks. This pair mounts to the matching Ridetech 4-Link in a first-generation Camaro or Firebird. The four-link is a separate purchase, so inventory its mounts and hardware alongside these coil-overs.

HQ shocks with installed bearings, coil springs, Delrin spring washers, upper spring plates and retaining rings, lower adjusters and locks, and upper bearing-half spacers.
 
Before ordering and installation
Match the supplied bearing/spacer arrangement to the exact Ridetech 4-Link mounting points. Do not substitute mounting dimensions from a generic shock listing.
Assemble the spring retainers and adjusters in the manual's order. Set the initial spring seats as directed, then jounce and roll the fully weighted car to settle it.
Keep the manual's 40-60 percent shock-travel target at ride height. Never lower the spring seat enough to leave the spring loose at full extension.
Check axle, spring, tire and exhaust clearance throughout travel. The exact manual's initial rebound setting is 12 clicks softer than full stiff; fine-tune after the car is assembled.
