Already running the matching Ridetech rear 4-Link? This is the coil-over pair that finishes that arrangement. A stock leaf-spring Mustang needs the suspension conversion first; these are not replacement shocks for the factory leaf setup.

Fitment

  • 1967-1970 Ford Mustang with the matching Ridetech Bolt-On 4-Link system.
  • The 4-Link and its vehicle mounting structure are separate. No factory leaf-spring or other-brand 4-Link fitment is claimed.

Specifications

  • Part 12106510; two HQ single-adjustable rebound shocks with 5.2-inch stroke and Hyperco 12-inch, 175 lb/in coil springs.
  • Manual dimensions: 11.23 inches compressed, 14.50-inch ride height and 16.43 inches extended, bearing center to bearing center.

Included

  • Two shocks and springs, spring retaining plates/rings, lower adjuster nuts and locking screws, four Delrin spring washers, eyelets and the listed upper bearing spacers.

Before ordering and installation

  • Confirm the car has the correct Ridetech 4-Link and mounting hardware. The coil-over package alone does not install on the original leaf-spring arrangement.
  • Follow the specific 12106510 manual: seat the spring at zero preload, then start with 1 inch of spring preload and secure the adjuster locking screw.
  • Set the full vehicle weight on the wheels, jounce the suspension and roll it forward/back to settle it before measuring ride height. Check remaining compression and extension travel.
  • The adjuster is turned to full stiff during assembly. Return it to the manual's starting rebound setting before driving; do not leave the assembly setting in place.
