Mustang II front end?
Wilwood 140-14271 has four-piston Dynalite-M calipers and plain one-piece hub/rotors for the listed factory disc-spindle setups. The wheel moves out .27 inch per side, so check the fender too.
What is in the box
Two Type III anodized Forged Dynalite-M four-piston calipers, BP-10 pads and 11.03 x .88-inch vented iron ULHP hub/rotors.
Left/right caliper mounting brackets, mounting bolts/washers, caliper shims, 1/2-20 screw-in wheel studs, bearings and seals, spindle washers/nuts/retainers/cotter pins, dust caps and pad pins listed in DS-1186.
Flex lines are not included. Wilwood lists the separate 220-8307 18-inch line kit on the exact product page; DS-1186 also lists other lengths. Match the actual routing, fittings and travel before choosing one.
Match it to the build
The vehicle rows cover 1974–78 Ford Mustang II, 1974–80 Ford Pinto and 1975–80 Mercury Bobcat, with the correct factory disc-brake spindle. An aftermarket Mustang II-based front end needs confirmation of its exact spindle; a familiar name on the crossmember is not a fitment measurement. The manufacturer also lists specific Heidts and Magnum Force component applications without vehicle years; those do not create additional year/make/model coverage.
Before installation
Choose the correct 5 x 4.50 or 5 x 4.75-inch stud pattern for the wheels. Check the +.27-inch per-side hub offset against the actual tire/fender clearance before final assembly.
Check DS-1186 Figure 2 with the actual wheel and keep at least .080 inch between wheel and caliper throughout. Some 14-inch wheels may clear; diameter alone does not settle it.
Seat the brackets squarely against the spindle bosses and verify complete bolt engagement in the clinch nuts after shimming. Use equal shims at the caliper mounts to center the rotor, and inspect the bolt ends against DS-1186 Figure 3.
Pack the supplied bearings with appropriate disc-brake bearing grease, follow OE bearing adjustment and install the supplied spindle-retention hardware.
OE rubber hoses generally do not adapt. Fit the separately purchased lines with suitable adapters and check full steering/suspension travel, retention and abrasion clearance. Have an experienced brake installer bleed, bed and test the system and check brake bias before driving.
