C10s in the Swamp 2 — Classic Trucks, Tunes, and True Craftsmanship
Rolling into Florida Classic Park for C10s in the Swamp 2 felt like coming home to a place we had never been. Rows of classic Chevy C10 trucks, dedicated builders, and a community that lives for old iron. The energy was different from other shows — this one was built by enthusiasts, for enthusiasts.
The Standout Truck
Scott Drinkwater from Modern Classic Inc. had a build that stopped everyone in their tracks. The attention to detail, the clean lines, the way every piece worked together — it was the kind of truck that makes you go back to your own build and raise the bar. Builders like Scott are what push the whole community forward.
The photographer Twin Turboskee was there documenting everything. Having someone capture the builds at that level shows how far this scene has come — these trucks deserve the same coverage as any high-end car show.
Our 1967 C10 at the Show
We brought the '67 LS-swapped C10 and parked it among some of the cleanest builds in Central Florida. Every show teaches you something new about your own truck. Standing next to builds that have been refined over years makes you see the details you still need to address on yours.
If you want to see how the truck performed at another event, read about taking second place at the Planes, Trains and Automobiles show at Plant City Airport.
The Atmosphere
Live music, food trucks, and the rumble of classic engines in the background. The show had everything you want from a truck event without any of the pretension. Builders were approachable, conversations were real, and nobody was too cool to answer a question about their build.
We left with new ideas, new connections, and a reminder of why we started building in the first place. Events like this are why the garage still matters and why this community keeps growing.
Already Looking Forward
C10s in the Swamp is becoming one of the must-attend events in Florida for classic truck builders. If you have a C10 — finished, in progress, or barely started — bring it. The community welcomes every level of build.
