C10s in the Swamp 2: Classic Trucks, Tunes, and Craftsmanship

Rolling into Florida Classic Park for C10s in the Swamp 2 felt like arriving somewhere familiar. Rows of classic Chevrolet C10s, dedicated builders, and people willing to talk honestly about the work behind their trucks made the show feel built by enthusiasts, for enthusiasts.

A STANDOUT BUILD

Scott Drinkwater from Modern Classic Inc. brought a truck that made people stop and study the details. The clean lines and consistent execution showed how much thought went into making every part work together. Builds like that send owners home with new ideas and a higher standard for their own projects.

Photographer Twin Turboskee was there documenting the trucks and the people around them. Strong event photography matters because it preserves the work long after the field is empty.

OUR 1967 C10 AT THE SHOW

We brought the Vintage Rust 1967 LS-swapped C10 and parked it among some of the cleanest builds in Central Florida. Every event teaches you something about your own truck. Seeing another build in person reveals routing, stance, finish, and small decisions that photographs do not always show.

Our C10 is a continuing project, and that is part of bringing it out. A show does not have to be the final chapter of a build. It can be a checkpoint that helps identify what is working and what should improve next.

THE ATMOSPHERE

Live music, food trucks, conversation, and the sound of classic engines created the right background. Builders were approachable, and questions about parts, fabrication, and lessons learned led to real answers.

That exchange is one of the best reasons to attend a model-focused event. Owners can compare solutions, find local resources, and understand how different choices work outside a catalog.

WHAT WE TOOK HOME

We left with new ideas, new connections, and another reminder of why garage work matters. The strongest truck community makes space for polished builds, reliable drivers, and projects still finding their direction.

If you are preparing for your first event, inspect the truck, register early, pack a small roadside and detailing kit, and arrive ready to learn. Respect the venue and the people doing the work.
